Hey guys, Movie Maniac here, I hope you guys had a good holiday break, I know I did. In this post I will be giving you my review of the new The Amazing Spiderman 2 trailer.
So let's start with the plot of the film: It's great to be Spider-Man. For Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), there's no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than him. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp.
Look it is no secret, I've always been a Spiderman fan since I was a kid and I loved all the movies that were created, except for the Sam Raimi directed Spiderman 3. Now I was pretty skeptical of Sony rebooting the Spiderman franchise so soon after the Sam Raimi trilogy; however, I trusted Sony with their decision to reboot the franchise.
When the first The Amazing Spiderman film came out last year, I saw it the first time and was thrown off by a couple parts of the film. I watched the film again and it did not bother me as much the second time and I loved the movie, so much that I brought the game to the film. So I can say that I was really looking forward to the sequel.
I have to say I really, really love this trailer! I thought it was action packed, you get a glimpse of the villains appearing in the film, you see Easter eggs like Doc Ock's mechanical arms and The Vulture's mechanical wings. You see Chris Cooper as a dying Norman Osbourne, it was cool to see him there when reports said they cut him from the film, and Dane DeHaan. That dude just kills his roles and it looks like playing Harry Osbourne will not be any different, great casting by Sony!
I am looking forward to the film, it can not get to theaters any quicker.
Let me know what you guys think of the trailer. Did you like the first one? Are you ready for the sequel? Leave comments in the description box below.
The Amazing Spiderman 2 swings into theaters on May 2nd, 2014, mark your calendars because it is going to be AMAZING!

Breaking News!!
Hey guys, so I just found out that Paul Walker, known from Fast and Furious Franchise fame, has passed away. Reports say he was attending a car show for Philippines relief effort in Santa Clarita, which is north of Los Angeles, when he was giving a friend a ride in his Porsche GT.
Apparently, the friend was driving and he lost control of the car and crashed into a post or tree. The car caught flames instantly and Paul Walker and his friend died in the explosion.
I just want to send my condolences to his family and friends. It is hard to believe he was just giving an interview about Fast 7 and Fast 8 and now he's no longer with us.
It's hard to even report this without just picturing his daughter's feelings about all this. No matter how we felt about the films he's been in, he still holds a place in our heart, it is so hard to believe.
I don't know what this means for the F&F franchise, this is a major blow to the franchise. I'm sure they will go on continuing the films in his honor because he would want them to.
I'm going to end this post with this:
Paul Walker, thanks for being apart of our lives, especially our movie lives, My heart goes out to your loved ones and friends, and may your spirit Rest In Peace.
And As Always, I'm the Movie Maniac and I'm Frantic about Film...RIP PAUL WALKER :'(

My 2 Fast 2 Furious Review
Hey guys, Movie Maniac here, and today, I am bringing you the second installment of my franchise review for the Fast and Furious Franchise. Without further ado, here is my review to 2 Fast 2 Furious (2003).
Released on June 6, 2003, 2 Fast 2 Furious involves ex-cop Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker) teams up with his ex-con friend Roman Pearce (Tyrese Gibson) and works with undercover U.S. Customs Service agent Monica Fuentes (Eva Mendes) to bring Miami-based drug lord Carter Verone (Cole Hauser) down.
Let's get right to it with the Positives and Negatives:

Let's get right to it with the Positives and Negatives:
Positives:
- It is an improvement (not a vast improvement) to its predecessor, The Fast and The Furious, in the sense of story, cinematography, and flow.
- Tyrese Gibson's character, Roman Pearce, is one of the reasons why I enjoyed this movie. Largely because of the connection between Paul Walker's Brian O'Conner character.
- The villain, Carter Verone, played by Cole Hauser was a decent villain.
- And of course, the bread and butter of this franchise, the car/action scenes were visually good. Two of my favorite car chase scenes were O'Conner and Pearce were running from the police and they drive into the garage and suddenly the doors open and all them cars get the pouring out of there. It was a great scene. The second is the final action scene where they drove the car off an incline and onto Verone's yacht. Note: The first race was a pretty good scene as well.
- The cop that was giving Walker and Gibson's characters a hard time was annoying. Not needed and every time he opened his mouth, I muted the movie.
- Eva Mendes' character was not a good love interest to me. It felt too forced and was not gradually developed.
- The plot was not strong, of course that was a given.
- I still do not buy O'Conner as a cop/ex-cop/ undercover ex-cop, whatever he claims to be. I just did not buy it at all.
- Vin Diesel was not in this film. He was the big draw to the first film, and not having in the second film felt wrong.
- It is hard to figure out if this film is a direct sequel or a prequel to the first film.

My "Xmen: Days of Future Past" Trailer Review
Hey guys, Movie Maniac here, and I have been slacking off because I forgot to review the trailer to one of my favorite movies coming out in 2014, Xmen: Days of Future Past.
The plot to Xmen: Days of Future Past goes like this: The ultimate X-Men ensemble fights a war for the survival of the species across two time periods in X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST. The beloved characters from the original "X-Men" film trilogy join forces with their younger selves from "X-Men: First Class," in an epic battle that must change the past -- to save our future.
Getting right into it, this trailer was awesome! It showed and did everything a trailer should do and that was give me a glimpse of what is to come, give me a feel of the tone of the film and show me what the film will look like. This trailer did that and then some.
Let me breakdown some quick positives and negatives though.
Positives:
Negatives:
Xmen: Days of Future Past is set to be released everywhere on May 23, 2014.

Let me breakdown some quick positives and negatives though.
Positives:
- The music made this trailer even more awesome. It fit the tone so perfectly.
- Seeing Sir Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart on screen again as Magneto and Professor X, respectively, was such a beauty of a scene that it almost brought a tear to my eyes.
- Seeing how the future setting looks, with the burned down buildings and the futuristic alter that Wolverine will use to travel to the past is a marvel to look at.
- At the end of the trailer where we see James McAvoy's young Professor X come face to face with Patrick Stewart's Professor X, that scene sold it for me.
Negatives:
- We did not see enough of the Sentinals (robots that hunts and kills mutants). More footage of them would have been much appreciated.
- We only had a glimpse of Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones Fame) as Trask, the CEO of Trask Industries and creator of the Sentinals. More of him would have been much appreciated as well.

My Captain America: The Winter Soldier Trailer Review
Hey guys, Movie Maniac here, and today I'm bringing you guys my review of the new Captain America: The Winter Soldier trailer.
To be honest, the first Captain America: First Avenger was my least favorite of the pre-Avengers films. I enjoyed it, but, I couldn't get into it so much as I did Thor, Iron Man 1 & 2, and the Incredible Hulk films. So with this first trailer of the sequel, I was hoping to be convinced that I am going to be more entertained if and when I see this film.
I have to say, I am loving this trailer a lot. I love the vibe that I am getting in regards to where the film is going to go. I love how it shows Captain America getting more into the feel of being a S.H.I.E.L.D agent, such as doing missions, etc. This trailer hooked me in.
The one gripe I have about the trailer is the music, I understand that Marvel wanted to set the tone of the film with the music, but, I wanted more intense music that has an action vibe to it as well. It was just to generic. Come on Marvel, you can do better.
Other than that one gripe, everything else about the trailer is awesome. I love how Anthony Mackie is playing Falcon, I especially loved the scene where he falls of the platform while shooting and then the wings expand and he starts flying away from the aircraft that is shooting at him. Also they brought in Robert Redford!!
This film seems like it is going to be great, I can't wait for to see it.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier arrives in theatres on April, 4th, 2014

I have to say I am totally excited about this decision because of a couple different reasons:

I have to say I am totally excited about this decision because of a couple different reasons:
- It is a new take on the character.
- They can go different and unique ways with the film in regards to his relation to Sue Storm in the reboot.
- Michael B. Jordan is one of those up and coming actors that is making a big name for himself at a young age and he has set himself up so that he can end up being the next Forest Whitaker or Denzel Washington, or better yet, he can end up being better.
- Josh Trank, director of Chronicle and the Fantastic Four reboot, is hinting that this is going to be a teenaged version of the FF and that is not the route I believe he should be going with this.

Release Date for Ted 2!!
Hey guys, Movie Maniac here, and boy, do I have some news for you guys. If you haven't heard by now, the sequel to one of the funniest and one of my favorite comedies of 2012, Ted, is in the works and will come to theaters in 2015. Well it is now confirmed by Universal Pictures that Ted 2, will be released on Friday, June 26th, 2015!
I don't know about you guys but I think this is great news because now Ted 2 will be apart of, what other film critics and bloggers are calling, the biggest box office summer of all time. I loved everything about the first Ted film because of Seth MacFarlane. When it comes to comedy, this guy is a genius.
The only apprehension I have about Ted 2 is that the gimmick of a talking teddy bear will not be as funny as it was the first time. Usually, lightning does not strike the same place twice; however, I am hoping lightning does strike in the same place twice in regards to the content and quality of the sequel. Well in this case, thunder. I am not worried though, because Seth MacFarlane is a comedic genius and I am sure he will deliver with Ted 2.
Let me know what you guys think of the release date. Did you guys enjoy the first film and is looking forward to the second? Do you think the second one can be as good as the first one? Do you think the gimmick will not be as funny as the first time or be even more funny the second time around? Leave your answers in the comment box below.

My Need For Speed Trailer Review
Hey guys, Movie Maniac here, and I bring to you my review of the trailer to Need For Speed, starring Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul as the main character Tobey Marshall.
The plot goes as follow: After being released from prison for a crime that he didn't commit, a street racer, Tobey Marshall (Aaron Paul), is set to race cross-country and to get revenge on his longtime friend and partner.
I didn't quite like this trailer because, and this is going to sound ironic to some people, it is just a Fast and Furious franchise rip-off. Do not get me wrong, I love Aaron Paul on Breaking Bad, but all I see is a off putting, bad rip-off Paul Walker's character Brian O'Conner from the F&F franchise. It feels like I'm in the Twilight Zone when I start comparing a film to the F&F franchise.
However, I will say the cinematography of the movie looks awesome. I should have brought this up when I first posted this, but it took me a couple more views of the trailer for me to really see the beauty in the cinematography. Well done on that part, you persuaded me to want to see the movie because of how it looks visually. I won't be going in expecting the plot to be Oscar-worthy; but, I do expect to be dazzled by the action.
I hope the film is good, but for right now the trailer did not hook me a whole lot; however, I will, again, check it out. Need For Speed is scheduled to be released on March 14th, 2014.

The Fast and The Furious Movie Review
Hey guys, Movie Maniac here, and today, I'm bringing you guys the first review of a six-part movie franchise review of the Fast and Furious Franchise. Without further ado, here is my review of The Fast and The Furious (2001).
Released on June 22, 2001, The Fast and the Furious, starring Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez, etc., became the first of many movies that would become one of the most successful movie franchises to date. Face it, we all know it is true. The film's concept was inspired by a Vibe magazine article on street racing in New York City at the time. The plot was pretty simple, a Los Angeles police officer goes undercover in the underground world of street racing in an attempt to catch the perpetrators of recent semi-truck robberies in LA.
Now of course, the first thing everybody says "it's a rip-off Point Break!" And I'm not going to dispute the fact that yes it is a rip-off of Point Break. However, I am going to review the movie as if Point Break never existed.
Like in my Kick Ass 2 Review, I'm going to list down what I liked about it, in the form of "Positives" and what I did not like about it, in the form of "Negatives" and then give my final rate of listing both.
Without further ado, the "Positives"
Positives:

Let me know what you guys thought of this film and check back in a couple of days for my review of 2 Fast 2 Furious.

Without further ado, the "Positives"
Positives:
- It is a popcorn flick, meaning you do not watch the movie and judge it too harshly on its plot, you go watch it just for the action and just for pure entertainment.
- The cars and the racing scenes in the film was awesome for what is was at the time the film was released. Some really good action scenes such as the race between Brian and Dom right before the cops showed up and Brian saves Dom, gaining Dom's respect.
- I believe the ensemble of Paul Walker, Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez and crew was, to me anyways, a driving point of the film; granted, in a film about street racing, I wasn't looking for Oscar-worthy acting so I did not find their acting worth calling it bad, it just fit the movie and its premise.
- The whole truck scene where Vince gets shot by the driver with a shotgun was pretty cool. Between us, I have always hated Vince as a character so I wanted him to die; granted, I got my wish in Fast Five, hehehe.
- The second to last scene of the film where Tran gets killed by Brian and Dom injures Lance was pretty cool as well. Their impromptu race at the end of the film was cool as well.
Negatives
- Though I felt the acting was good, it was still bad.
- I did not care for much about certain character such as Jesse and Vince. Hell until Fast and Furious (2009), I did not care about Mia Toretto. Most of the scenes those characters were in made me want to not watch the movie while those parts were on.
- The Brian and Mia Romance was pretty dull and boring and lifeless. I found Dom and Letty's romance more exciting.
- Pacing was a problem at some points. I felt bored until the action scenes happened.
- Finally, I tried not to bring this point up but clearly if anybody saw Point Break, this was like a 2001 bastard child of that film. You forced my hand, writers of this film.
Let me know what you guys thought of this film and check back in a couple of days for my review of 2 Fast 2 Furious.

More Fast and Furious News
Hey guys, Movie Maniac here, and I have some more Fast and Furious news. Man these guys are just on fire when it comes to news that they drop. Anyway, Universal Pictures has just confirmed that the star of The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift, Lucas Black, has just been signed on for not only Fast 7 and Fast 8 but also Fast 9!! It seems like Universal Pictures is going to keep milking this cash cow. And who could blame them, Fast 6 made almost $800 million worldwide after its run.
The Fast and Furious franchise is definitely starting to become one of my favorite movie franchises in recent memory and this news about bringing back Lucas Black's character Sean Blackwell, has made me even more excited about the future films.
Let me know what you guys think about this news. Are you excited for the next installments of the Fast and Furious franchise as I am? Let me know in the comment box below

Justin Bieber is Not Going To Play Robin!
Hey guys, Movie Maniac here, and I'm here to help clear up the rumor about the infamous selfie that Justin Bieber snapped of him and a David S. Goyer-crafted script that had audiences speculating that Justin might play Robin in Batman Vs. Superman. Well I'm here to tell you that, NO!! Justin is not playing Robin!
Apparently, the person who confirmed the fakeness of the photo, saw the real script and states that the script the Bieber photographed is not authentic. he assured us that the pic is more than likely from an upcoming Funny or Die video project.
I don't know about you guys but I'm glad it's not authentic. Justin isn't an actor and he shouldn't ever be near a comic book movie until he sharpen his acting chops. I don't want to seem like I'm bagging on the 19-year old singer, I'm just stating, I would want to see an actor who's focus is acting play Robin, not a singer who wants to try his hand at acting.
But anyway, let me know what you guys think. Are you happy Justin's not playing Robin? Did you want him to play Robin? Did you really care? Let me know in the comment box below.

It is also being reported that Kurt Russell's character has been moved from being a main villain to maybe a cameo in Fast 7. The change was confirmed on there Twitter account, as well as other news regarding the film. Now it may sound like a bad decision but here's why they did it, and I quote:
"Kurt Russel was almost about to join#Fast7. He would play the father of Jesse, and he would be Toretto's villain."
"He would work together with@realjstatham in the film, as Ian Shaw in #Fast7, to take revenge on Toretto and his family."
"@UniversalPics was searching for a bad guy for #Fast7, but he would be even more bad in #Fast8."

Jurassic Park 4 Gets a New Title and Release Date
Hey Guys, Movie Maniac here, and I have a quick news story to tell you guys. So if you didn't know already, Paramount is creating the next installment in the Jurassic Park franchise, Jurassic Park 4. Well it is now being told that the title of the film is now officially being called Jurassic World. Now with this name change, it starts to bring into fruition the rumored plot of the film, which is stated below:
” ‘Jurassic Park 4,’ set in present day Isla Nublar, is now an actual theme park, as originally intended by John Hammond in the first film. It garners 10 million visitors per year and is completely safe – until it’s not. The park itself is described as very Sea World-esque and includes an area called the Isla Nublar Lagoon. That means underwater dino’s for the first time. No indication of what kind, but there’s concept art showing one of the aquatic dinos, as part of a show, jumping out of the lagoon and eating a strung up great white shark like it was a fish for a dolphin at sea world.”
I actually don't mind the plot at all, it seems legit in the way that this is what Jurassic Park was supposed to be and now that they have it, of course it's going to be some conflict with holding all those dinosaurs in a zoo-like environment. I can say, I am honestly looking forward to Jurassic World when it comes to theaters.
With that being said, I am going to Segway into the other half of this post. Now we all knew the new installment was supposed to come out in the summer of next year; however, it got pushed back to for rewrites and other reasons. Well now it's being officially confirmed that Jurassic World will hit theaters on June 12th, 2015!
2015 is definitely going to be the biggest year for movies! You have so many movies such as Avengers: Age of Ultron, Star Wars Episode VII, Man of Steel 2: World's Finest (not official name of Batman Vs. Superman film), etc. I cannot wait for 2015 and it looks like Jurassic World is another film that's going to make 2015 an epic year for movies.
Let me know what you guys think of this name change and release date. Are you looking forward to 2015 as I am? Let me know what movies are you looking forward to in 2015?
And As Always, I'm the Movie Maniac, and I'm Frantic about Films :D

Fast and Furious Franchise Review/Insidious: Chapter 2 Review Announcement
Hey guys, Movie Maniac here, and I'm here to tell you guys a decision I have made. So we all know about the Fast and Furious franchise that has been going on for 12 years now. The crazy thing is if someone would've asked me, say 7 years ago, that the Fast and Furious franchise was going to be one of the most successful movie franchises that I've seen lately, I probably would've laughed at them. However, it's crazy how things work out isn't it?
So in light of all the buzz the franchise has been getting lately with Fast 6 making 787.9 million dollars and the announcement of Fast 7 coming to theaters on July 11th 2014, I have decided to review every movie of the Fast and Furious franchise up to Fast 6.
This should be interesting since it's my first whole movie franchise review. Plus I have some words that needs to be said about the first half of this franchise (The Fast and the Furious-Tokyo Drift). Anyway, look out for those reviews coming soon, I can't wait to review them.
Also, as you all know, Insidious Chapter 2 comes out this Friday. I plan on seeing the Insidious and Insidious: Chapter 2 Double Feature that the AMC Theaters is hosting. I can't wait for that!! So look out for my review of Insidious: Chapter 2 and I just may review the first Insidious too!
To wrap this up, look forward to all those reviews within the coming week or so and thanks for reading so far and hope you guys grow with me.

My RoboCop (2014) Trailer Review
Hey guys, Movie Maniac here, and I bring you guys one of maybe three posts during my birthday weekend. Going into what the title eludes to, this is my review of the trailer to the Robocop reboot coming to theatres on February 7th, 2014.
The plot goes as follow: In 2028, multinational conglomerate OmniCorp is at the center of robot technology. Their drones are winning wars around the globe and now they want to bring this technology to the home front. Alex Murphy is a loving husband, father and honest cop doing his best to fight crime and corruption in Detroit. After he is critically injured while on duty, OmniCorp utilize their knowledge in robotics to save Murphy's life. Murphy returns to the streets of his city with new abilities and issues a regular man has never had to face before.
I can't even lie, the trailer hooked me. Maybe it was because they showed probably most of the good parts of the movie in the trailer; but, I am hooked and I will definitely go see it in February. The first thing that caught my eye in the trailer was that they have Joel Kinnaman, Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Keaton (where has he been?) and Gary Oldman. To me that's an awesome cast. And if you guys don't know who Joel Kinnaman is, well he's the star of AMC's The Killing.
I also like how they showed an update of the old armor from the first couple of Robocop films and then they brought in the new all black suit and I love it. That black suit looks awesome and the whole way how they are going to use the Man Vs. Machine as like the lesson of the film should go over well. I really hated the one human hand sticking out of the whole suit. That looks stupid and not needed, just cover the damn hand. Hey, if the film is bad, then I still have the original. But until it comes out I have to say that I really enjoyed this trailer.
So let me know what you guys thought about the trailer. Did you like it? Did you not like it? Are you excited for the film? Do you think it's going to bomb? Let me know in the comment box below.

Transformers 4 Gets a Title and Poster
Hey guys, Movie Maniac here, and boy do I have a good one for you guys. If you guys haven't heard by now, Paramount has announced the name of Transformers 4 and confirmed this announcement with a poster. Transformers 4 is now titled Transformers: Age of Extinction.
I have to say I love the name. It fits for a Transformers film for me. Now let me just say, I liked the first Transformers live-action film, hated the second one: Revenge of the Fallen, and I liked the third one: Dark of the Moon, so I'm kinda half and half on my anticipation for Age of Extinction. I must say I really love this title and the cast of the film, i.e. Mark Wahlberg, etc. And I love the addition of the Dinobots. I'm just hoping this movie delivers better than its predecessors and give us a good movie. And if it's just mind-blowing action, well for me that's ok too.
Let me know what you guys think of the news from Transformers: Age of Extinction.

KICK-ASS 2 Review
Hey guys, Movie Maniac here, and I'm bringing to you guys my first ever movie review, so to speak. What better movie to be my first review than Kick-Ass 2!! So I'm going to give you guys my rating system on how I rate movies:
Until Next Time, I'm the Movie Maniac and I'm Frantic about Films :D
- If a movie is bad it gets an: "ASS" rating, meaning don't check it out because it's just horrible.
- If a movie is ok, it gets an: "EHH" rating, meaning it was ok, but don't rush to see it
- If a movie is fair, it gets a: "Redbox It/Netflix it" rating, meaning it was good but it's worth waiting to rent from Redbox, or watch on Netflix when it goes on there.
- If a movie is good, it gets a: "Worth the ticket price" rating, meaning it is good enough where it's not great, but you will have fun with it and enjoy it more in theaters.
- Finally, if a movie is great, it gets a: "Awesomeness" rating, meaning the movie is great, fulfilled what it wanted to do superbly, and I recommend watching it over again because it's just that good.
So let's recap before I get into the review. A movie is rated from 1 being lowest and 5 being the highest rate it can receive:
- ASS-Bad
- EHH-Ok
- Redbox It/Netflix It-Fair
- Worth the Ticket Price-Good
- Awesomeness-Great
Now since that is established, it is time to get into my review of Kick-Ass 2! Now with Kick-Ass 2, I was looking forward to it simply because I loved the first Kick-Ass. Out of all the movies, that came out in 2010, Kick-Ass was in my top 5 favorite movies of 2010, along with Percy Jackson: the Lightning thief, Iron Man 2, The Karate Kid and Scott Pilgrim vs The World, which is saying a lot since I saw almost all the movies that came out in 2010. So yes, I was anticipating Kick-Ass 2, and I am happy to say that I loved Kick-Ass 2; however, I did have some problems with it, but more positives than negatives.
Positives:
One positive of Kick-Ass 2 was to me the acting. It wasn't the best acting in the world but, it wasn't bad either. Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Chloe Grace Moretz just embodies their characters so good. It was just like riding a bike for them when it comes to their respective characters. Let me point out, I am a big fan of both these actors, I loved Chloe since seeing her play in The Amityville Horror and loved watching her grow as an actress and with Aaron, he sold me when I saw him in Savages, like I loved him in Kick-Ass, but when he was in Savages, he played his character so well that I didn't even recognize that was him with Taylor Kitsch and Blake Lively. I was glad they both just hop right back on the saddle when it came time to do the sequel. Now who blew me away the most was Jim Carey as Colonel Stars and Stripes. Jim Carey is such a great actor and yes he messed my head up when he said he didn't want to support Kick-Ass 2 because this film was one of his best roles that we seen from him in a while. Let's not get into Mr. Popper's Penguins, talking about boring. So I was disappointed by that but I can't deny the fact he was great in the movie.
Another specific positive I wanted to point out about the movie is that it was more than just a gory, comedic, violent, film, it actually had some emotion and depth into it. Especially in the climax of the film, when Dave/Kick-Ass' dad gets arrested and then killed, talking about tear-jerking. Or when Mindy/Hit Girl. got left in the woods by those evil high school girls, and she was walking home crying and alone. Or when Colonel Stars and Stripes got killed by Mother Russia. Man this movie had more emotion than I expected and I like that.
Negatives:
One negative that I had of Kick-Ass 2 was that it tried so hard to duplicate the same feeling the first film gave us. Granted a sequel film should want to duplicate the magic that made the first one so popular, but they tried too hard and it didn't work.
Second negative was that they didn't explore more of the minor characters more, characters such as the aforementioned Mother Russia, who I thought kicked all sorts of ass. Also the movie was called Kick-Ass 2 but I felt it was more of a Hit-Girl film than a Kick-Ass film. I was more intrigued by Hit-Girl adjusting to high school life than Dave becoming more of a hero. Which is bad because even if the movie has lots of good characters you should always want to promote the titular character more and Kick-Ass 2 didn't do that.
One minor flaw I want to point out is that I found most of the movie funny, but damn, quit with the bad jokes. Like some of the jokes were just awful and just didn't work in certain scenes.
Overall, I'm giving Kick-Ass 2 a 4 rating, meaning it's worth the ticket price in theaters, you would enjoy it more in theaters, it was fun, entertaining, emotional in a sense, it makes me want a Kick-Ass 3, and I highly recommend seeing it in theaters because right now it is losing to Disney's Planes...slice my head off now Hit-Girl.
But let me know if you saw Kick-Ass 2. let me know if you liked it or didn't like it. Let me know if you are looking forward to a third installment, if it this one is successful. Let me know anything you want about Kick-Ass 2.
Until Next Time, I'm the Movie Maniac and I'm Frantic about Films :D

WHO IS THE NEW BATMAN?!!!
Hey guys, Movie Maniac here, and have I got a story for you guys. Breaking news on the casting of the new Batman in the Batman and Superman movie coming in 2015. Confirmed by Variety magazine and Warner Bros. Studios, the new Batman is BEN AFFLECK!!! Immediately, many movie fans showed their opinions on my Facebook page and Twitter page.Me personally, I think it's a great choice, and I believe this because of four reasons:
1: He's 41, which was the age demographic Warner Bros. were looking for when choosing the next Caped Crusader.
2: I believe he has the right charm, charisma, and looks that can coincide with Henry Cavill.
3: If you look up a picture of him in The Town where he was working out in the scene, Ben Affleck is cut. The dude has the build to fight against Cavill's Superman and make it look believable.
and 4: Let's be honest, with everything that was wrong with the Daredevil movie he was in, he wasn't the biggest problem, so I believe since he isn't the actor he was in the late 90s/early 2000s, he can pull off this role and become a good Batman.
With roles such as the ones in the aforementioned The Town and his Oscar-winning movie Argo, I believe Ben Affleck is a great actor, and this is the kind of role that will prove my support in him being the new Batman.
But let me know what you guys think. Is it a good choice, a bad choice, do you really care? Anything you want in regards to this story in particular.

Us As a Movie Blogging Community
Hey guys, Movie Maniac here, since I created my movie blog, Film Frantic, I haven't posted because I wanted my first post to be something memorable. Now I figured out that I want to address the problem that is plaguing the movie blogging community, and the problem is that we believe too much that we hear and slowly stopped taking rumors with a grain of salt. Examples of this is the latest two rumors of Christian Bale getting offered $50 million dollars to return as Batman and Hugh Jackman getting offered $100 million dollars to continuously play Wolverine for four more films. As a movie blogging community, hell as movie fans, we should one always find the source to movie rumors. ALWAYS LOOK FOR THE SOURCE. The thing that makes me the most angry is that other movie sites run these rumors as facts and literally their professional integrity slowly deteriorates.
Now let's break down these rumors starting with the Christian Bale situation. Now if you look into where this rumor came from, it was from an unnamed "source." Whenever you hear unnamed "source," you should immediately either take the rumor with a grain of salt or research into it. Do no just automatically believe it, it makes us as fans seem gullible. Then what you should think after reading a rumor such as this one is bring facts into it to help you determine if it's true. Think about it, if Warner Bros did offer Christian Bale $50 million, why would Christian Bale accept it, did he not say he was done playing a superhero? Of course some of you would say "$50 million dollars would change his mind"; however, it wouldn't because any other movie studio can offer him the same amount to be in their movie, so why would Christian Bale come back to play a character he said he's done playing for that price when he can do a different character for the same amount? So let me restate what's been stated so many times before, Christian Bale is done playing Batman, Christopher Nolan's Batman character will not appear in the next Man of Steel film or in any other film involving Batman, and whose to say they aren't talking to Christian Bale about it, I can't deny if they are talking under the radar, but as far as I know Warner Bros. has not come out and stated that they have offered Bale $50 million to play Batman again.
Time to break down the Hugh Jackman being offered $100 million dollars to play Wolverine for four more films. So many websites ran with this and promoted as fact. I don't know how many times do I have to say do not trust unnamed "sources," especially ones who gave this "scoop" to the National Enquirer, and take rumors with a grain of salt. Take into consideration, Hugh Jackman is a top notch actor, there's no disputing he's worth the money, but, why would Fox offer the amount of money that it takes to create a full movie to one actor. It just doesn't seem right. Plus if I'm not mistaken, I believe Fox plans on rebooting the Xmen franchise anyway after Xmen: Days of Future Past. So why would they offer Hugh Jackman to continue to play Wolverine if they are rebooting the franchise? Usually when a studio reboots a franchise, they usually get new actors to play the characters of that franchise. Now maybe they are talking to Hugh Jackman to continuously play Wolverine under the radar, but as far as I know, the studio did not come out and confirm nor state that they have offer Hugh Jackman $100 million to play Wolverine in four more films.
So to conclude this post, I want to say that us as a movie blog community needs to really start showing more professional integrity with the stuff we post. Trying to get that big scoop doesn't have to mean give up your integrity. Once we realize this, our community will gain more respect, or at least gain the respect that we lost back.
